What's actually different
Generated from the brands' published specs. Nothing here comes from lab testing; see how we read specs.
Shape
The Friction Pro V2 Elongated 16mm is an elongated shape (16.5" × 7.5"); the Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 16mm is a hybrid shape (16.3" × 7.7"). Longer, narrower shapes add reach and leverage; wider faces give a bigger sweet spot.
Swingweight
The Friction Pro V2 Elongated 16mm has the higher swingweight: 117 against 113.5. Higher swingweight means more plow-through on drives; the Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 16mm's lower number means quicker hands in fast exchanges.
Twistweight
The Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 16mm has the higher twistweight: 6.9 against 6.5. Higher twistweight resists twisting on off-center hits, so the Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 16mm should be the more forgiving of the two when you miss the middle.
