What's actually different
Generated from the brands' published specs. Nothing here comes from lab testing; see how we read specs.
Core thickness
The Friction Pro V2 Elongated 14mm has the thinner core: 14mm against 16mm. Thinner cores generally hit harder with a firmer feel; thicker cores absorb more pace, which helps dinks and resets.
Weight
The Friction Pro V2 Elongated 16mm is 0.1 oz heavier: 7.9 oz against 7.8 oz. Static weight alone doesn't tell you how a paddle swings; swingweight does, when the brand publishes it.
Swingweight
The Friction Pro V2 Elongated 16mm has the higher swingweight: 117 against 113. Higher swingweight means more plow-through on drives; the Friction Pro V2 Elongated 14mm's lower number means quicker hands in fast exchanges.
