What's actually different
Generated from the brands' published specs. Nothing here comes from lab testing; see how we read specs.
Shape
The Friction Pro V2 Elongated 14mm is an elongated shape (16.5" × 7.5"); the Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 14mm is a hybrid shape (16.3" × 7.7"). Longer, narrower shapes add reach and leverage; wider faces give a bigger sweet spot.
Swingweight
The Friction Pro V2 Elongated 14mm has the higher swingweight: 113 against 109. Higher swingweight means more plow-through on drives; the Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 14mm's lower number means quicker hands in fast exchanges.
Twistweight
The Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 14mm has the higher twistweight: 6.7 against 6.3. Higher twistweight resists twisting on off-center hits, so the Friction Pro V2 Hybrid Flat Top 14mm should be the more forgiving of the two when you miss the middle.
